French Modelling news
Welcome back to the Revolution Models blog. While France has always had a penchant for female fashion models, the city has recently become one of the world’s most coveted destinations because of its ability to breed future stars. While everyone in Paris Fashion Week will be talking about fresh-faced newcomers like Louise de Chevigny, some industry insiders are quick to point out that there’s more to French fashion than just youthful enthusiasm.
Paris’s ground-breaking designers have always drawn inspiration from France’s fashion models. Famous French faces such as Inès de la Fressange and Laetitia Casta have all made a bold effect on fashion. In recent times, chic girls like Camille Rowe and Cindy Bruna have proved that France will always be one of the modeling industry’s top countries for finding beautiful new talent.
Cindy Bruna is without a doubt France’s hottest rising star of the modeling business. She’s been on the up for several seasons and is as much in demand in Paris as she is in New York. Bruna has worked with the biggest names in the business, and is a regular on the Balmain runway. She followed up a hugely successful Paris Fashion Week in March 2016 with a week of haute couture shows for Zuhair Murad, Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab and Alexandre Vauthier. Her several hundred thousand online followers will no doubt enjoy her starring role in this season’s Fashion Month.
Pauline Hoarau is another upcoming French model who’s a hot tip for insider snaps, with dozens of shows scheduled in Paris, New York and Milan this Fashion Month. Similarly, Joséphine Le Tutour walks the runway for a host of prestigious fashion houses, from Chanel and Sonia Rykiel to Elie Saab and Balmain.
Thylane Blondeau is a 20-year-old French model with a stunning face, who has worked in fashion since the early age of 4. She was born in Aix-en-Provence, France and stands 5’7″. She is a model for the famous Lacoste brand and is the youngest international brand ambassador ever for L’Oréal. In 2007, she was voted “Most Beautiful Girl in The World.”
Ophélie Guillermand is a 28-year-old French model from Verdun, France. Ophélie has modeled for iconic brands such as Carolina Herrera, Marchesa and Pierre Balmain. She has been on the cover of Vogue Italia magazine twice and was also on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. However, the most famous of them all is Carla Bruni.
Speaking to French magazine Madame Figaro, the 54 year old singer and model talked about returning to the catwalk for Balmain and posing for one of YSL's recent campaigns, confessing she feels 'too old' to model and felt strange' about the fact she is old enough to be the younger models' mother.
